#SummitWSOC Weekly Notebook: No. 2

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Summit League women's soccer programs combined for five wins and six ties during the opening week of the 2023 season. Omaha and South Dakota State secured a pair of shutouts, while St. Thomas and South Dakota notched one shutout of their own. The Jackrabbits were the lone team to capture a pair of wins.

Week one was highlighted by UST’s Mariah Nguyen, who collected a hat trick en route to collecting the season-opening TicketSmarter Summit League Women’s Soccer Offensive Peak Performer of the Week award, while SDSU’s Maya Hansen became the second league player in history to reach the 40-goal plateau.
