#SummitWSOC Weekly Notebook: No. 4

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – After starting the season with four consecutive draws, Denver picked up its first two wins of the season with home victories against Northern Colorado and NC State. South Dakota State, the last unbeaten remaining in the league last week, fell to Utah State but bounced back with a 3-2 triumph over Idaho State. They sit with a 5-1 overall record and top the league standings.

The Pioneers and Fighting Hawks of North Dakota are tied for second in the second with 10 points apiece as UND collected two key road shutout wins against Illinois State and Southern Indiana. South Dakota earned four keys points to sit at fourth in the standings, while North Dakota State and Omaha, who both have 2-2-2 record, are tied for the fourth spot in the standings.

Riley Moore put up a career-high tying nine saves against the Rams... She faced 16 shots against UIC, four of which were on goal... Amelia Loeffler and Madi Livingston, who were named TicketSmarter Summit League Women’s Soccer Peak Performers of the Week, helped UND start the season 2-0-0 on the road for only the second time since moving to Division I in 2008 (2018) ... Loeffler struck for a trio of goals and added an assist where she posted the first two goals in the 3-0 win against the Redbirds ... Livingston made 12 saves with six in each match to collect a pair of shutouts ... She moved into a tie for the program record for career clean sheets with 14.

Wilkinson followed it up with six more saves in a 1-1 tie against The Citadel ... Jess Hanley scored a late equalizer for the Bison in the 86th minute against the Bulldogs ... Kelsey Kallio, who is the active leader in assists for NDSU, picked up the 12th of her career and moves into a tie for second on the active list for career points (20).

Sophia Green scored her team-leading fifth goal of the season at Northern Iowa after netting the game winner on a penalty kick against UC Santa Barbara ... She is currently on a four-game scoring streak that includes two penalty kick goals ... Green is now tied for first place among league scorers with South Dakota’s Ashby Johnston, who has also netted five goals. Green now has 19 goals in her career, tying the Mavericks’ Division I era record for goals in a career set by Chelsi Rohloff from 2013-15 ... Goalkeeper Emma Konsmo made seven saves in the shutout against the Gauchos for her third shutout of the season.
