SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Kansas City made headlines through the first two weeks of the volleyball season, as they have gone 6-0 and are the lone league squad to be undefeated. Carly Gillen and Kai Dunford were named MVPs of the FAU Invitational and Dr. Mary Jo Wynn Invitational, respectively, and will set their sights this week on the Golden Grizzlies Invitational.
South Dakota State boasts the top two kill leaders in the league with sophomore Katie Van Egdom (79) and freshman Sylvie Zgonc (76) leading the charge. On the defensive side of the ball, Gillen leads the league with 41 total blocks, while teammate Leah Green tops the league with 115 total digs and averages five digs per set.
North Dakota, North Dakota State, Omaha and South Dakota will host tournaments at their respective arenas that will be streamed on the
Summit League Network.
