ORU's Udoumoh claims TicketSmarter #SummitWBB weekly award

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Oral Roberts guard Ruthie Udoumoh earned her second TicketSmarter Summit League Women’s Basketball Peak Performer of the Week honor of the season, League officials announced Monday. Udoumoh averaged a double-double in a pair of ORU victories that have the Golden Eagles off to a 5-1 start in conference play.

In a 71-55 victory over North Dakota, Udoumoh racked up her eighth double-double of the season, which has her tied for the lead among Summit League players. She scored 10 points and pulled down 13 rebounds against the Fighting Hawks to go with two assists, a steal and a block.

In ORU’s 84-75 win over previously unbeaten North Dakota State, the Broken Arrow, Okla., native equaled her career-high with 23 points on 9-of-13 shooting from the field. Udoumoh also pulled down eight rebounds and added two steals as the Golden Eagles improved to 10-0 at home this season.

For the week, Udoumoh averaged 16.5 ppg, 10.5 rpg and shot 57 percent from the field (12-for-21) and went 9-for-11 from the foul line. With three steals, she pushed her League-leading total to 39 in that category.
