SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- With all five teams having played at least one Summit League match, four share the top spot in the standings with three points. Kansas City and Denver both won their lone contests of the opening week, while Omaha and Oral Roberts both went 1-1.
The Roos will look to stay hot as they visit Omaha Saturday at 4 p.m. on the Summit League Network. KC has won three straight and scored a total of 10 goals during that stretch to lay claim to being one of the highest-scoring offenses in Division I. The Mavericks, meanwhile, rebounded from a 1-0 loss at Oral Roberts to earn their first league win by a 2-1 tally against St. Thomas to remain unbeaten at Canigilia Field this season (4-0-2).
The Tommies will look to snap a three-game skid against an unbeaten Denver squad Saturday afternoon in the Mile High City. The Pioneers won their league opener 3-2 over visiting ORU and remained unbeaten at 6-0-4.
DU held the top spot in the Top Draw Soccer poll for the third consecutive week but will take a break from league play to travel to face Pitt Monday in a matchup against a Panthers squad that holds the top spot in the United Soccer Coaches poll (7 p.m. ET on ESPN+).
The Golden Eagles are in the midst of a 10-day break before returning to the pitch next Saturday, Oct. 12, at St. Thomas.
