SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota midfielder Izzy Quintavalle and South Dakota State midfielder Lauren Eckerle were named the latest Summit League Women’s Soccer Peak Performers of the Week. Quintavalle collected the offensive accolade, while Eckerle earned the defensive honor, league officials announced Monday.

Quintavalle became the Coyotes leading scorer in their match against the Roos. The Minnesota native scored the first two goals of the game with the first one in the 15^th minute and coming in clutch again in the second half with a 52^nd-minute tally to tie the game up.   

Quintavalle came out of Sunday’s game not only with her first career brace, but also with season highs which includes 78 minutes plays, three shots, two shots on goal, two goals, and five points. Quintavalle also logged an assist on teammate Janaina Zanin’s goal to help secure the 4-2 win over Kansas City.

Eckerle logged 81 minutes in the Jackrabbits’ 1-0 victory against the Roos and followed up with 76 minutes in their 1-0 victory against the Tommies. The Minnesota native played a crucial part in both shutouts as SDSU only allowed a combined three shots on goal, including zero to Kansas City.

Eckerle also added an assist on the game-winning goal in the 82^nd minute against the Tommies.
