#SUMMITWBB Weekly Notebook: No. 4

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Thanksgiving food and Summit League women’s basketball is on the docket for the week ahead. This week’s schedule is highlighted by a handful of tournaments in which three of our teams are competing.
 
Last week we saw Oral Roberts extend its winning streak to four games and earn themselves votes in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25.
 
South Dakota State went to the North Shore Showcase and picked up their second top-25 win of the season with a victory over (21/RV) Oregon.
 
Games picked back up today with South Dakota meeting Arizona State in Nashville, Tenn., at 11 a.m. CT.

2025 Basketball Championships
The 2025 #SummitWBB Championship will be held at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center once again. All nine members will be part of the field for the event that will be held March 5-9 in Sioux Falls. The opening round will feature matchups between the No. 8 and No. 9 seeds for both genders and start on Wednesday with both title games set for Sunday on CBS Sports Network. Tickets can be purchased now at Ticketmaster.
 
AROUND THE LEAGUE
  • Oral Roberts is riding a four-game win streak after picking up wins over the SEC’s Arkansas (94-73) and Lindenwood (99-79). With a 5-1 record, the Golden Eagles have started to receive votes in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25 poll.
  • ORU’s redshirt junior Jalei Oglesby led the Golden Eagles in the week’s two wins. The guard came off the bench and averaged 19.5 ppg and 57 percent shooting from the floor to go along with 3.5 apg, 3.0 rpg and 1.5 spg.
  • Denver put two tallies in the win column coming out victorious over Christian Brothers (78-48) and UC San Diego (67-59). Junior Jordan Jones put together back-to-back double-double performances in the two victories. She averaged 21.5 ppg and 11.5 rpg between the two games.
  • Highlighting Jones’ week was her 28-point, 13-rebound performance against UC San Diego. She was one point shy of her career high.
  • South Dakota is on a three-game winning streak after picking up “W’s” against Bellevue (74-50), N.C. Central (61-54), and Dayton (79-69). Grace Larkins paced the Coyotes averaging nearly a double-double with 25.0 ppg and 8.3 rpg.
  • Larkins’ week was capped by a career-high-tying 34-point performance against Dayton. She was 12-for-24 from the floor with seven rebounds, a pair of assists and a steal in the win.
  • St. Thomas picked up back-to-back wins over Oakland (73-62) and Lindenwood (99-79) to move to 5-2 on the season. Jo Langbehn’s efforts paced the Tommies in the two victories. The senior averaged 18.0 ppg on 61.1 percent shooting from the floor, 6.0 rpg and 2.5 spg for UST.
  • South Dakota State went 1-1 at the North Shore Showcase falling to the ACC’s Georgia Tech (71-57) but bouncing back and picking up its second top 25 win of the season with a 75-70 victory over (21/RV) Oregon.
  • Against the nationally ranked Ducks, four Jacks finished with double figures in the points column. Brooklyn Meyer led with 19 points on 7-for-15 shooting. She also pulled down eight rebounds and stole the ball twice.
  • The Bison moved to 3-2 on the season after going 1-1 at the Great Alaska Shootout. NDSU beat Vermont 58-50 to open the tournament but fell to Troy (86-69). Sophomore Abby Krzewinski was named to the All-Tournament team after averaging a team-best 12.0 ppg and 5.5 rebounds per game. She was 53.8 percent from the field and 66.7 percent from behind the arc.
  • Omaha moved to 2-4 on the season after a tough two-point loss to the Big Ten’s Wisconsin and an overtime 79-77 victory to Utah State. Ja Harvey paced the Mavericks’ efforts in the two games averaging 14.0 ppg, 3.5 apg, 2.0 spg and 2.5 rpg.
  • North Dakota is 2-3 on the season after suffering losses to Montana (71-59) and Western Kentucky (74-69). Ibrahim Fatima paced the Fighting Hawks with 12.5 ppg and 7.0 rpg. In the loss to Montana, she recorded a career-high 17 points on 7-for-10 shooting from the floor.
  • Kansas City is 2-5 after picking up losses to Alabama A&M (57-52), Lindenwood (67-62) and (25/25) Nebraska (84-38). Emani Bennett led the Roos with 14.0 ppg and 4.7 rpg.
