SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Oral Roberts sophomore Taleyah Jones helped guide the Golden Eagles to a 2-0 week after averaging 18.0 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 2.5 apg to earn the latest Summit League Women’s Basketball Peak Performer of the Week honor, league officials released Monday.
In the 76-63 road victory over the SEC’s Missouri, Jones went 7-for-11 from the field en route to 20 points. She also pulled down three rebounds and dished out just as many assists to give ORU its second win over an SEC team this season.
The Golden Eagles picked up their ninth win of the season with a 77-65 home win over Wichita State. In the win, Jones dropped 16 points, capturing her 1,000 career point in the win. She also added six rebounds and a pair of assists to her stat line against the Shockers.
