SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – For the third time in December, North Dakota State forward Jacksen Moni claimed the Summit League Men’s Basketball Peak Performer of the Week honor, League officials announced Monday. Moni scored a game-high 28 points for the Bison in a 94-60 victory over Cal State Bakersfield.
Moni scored 19 points in the opening 20 minutes as NDSU raced out to a 51-18 lead on a team that had beaten the Bison by five points earlier in the season. The Fargo, N.D., native finished 8-for-14 from the field and 11-for-14 from the foul line as NDSU won its eighth straight game.
The 20-plus point effort was the fifth of the season for Moni, which have all come in the last seven games. He currently ranks second among Summit players in scoring at 18.5 ppg heading into conference play.
