NDSU's Morgan earns TicketSmarter #SummitMBB weekly award

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – North Dakota State forward Andrew Morgan collected the latest TicketSmarter Summit League Men’s Basketball Peak Performer of the Week honor of the season, League officials announced Monday. The weekly honor is the first of Morgan’s career and first for a Bison this season.

Morgan led NDSU to a pair of key Summit League victories as the Bison moved back to the .500 mark in League play at 5-5.

In the 82-78 overtime win vs. Kansas City, Morgan scored a career-high 31 points and made a career-high 14 free throws against the Roos. He went 8-for-13 from the field and missed only twice from the foul line as NDSU swept the season series with Kansas City.

Morgan tallied a game-high 18 points in NDSU’s 81-79 victory over Omaha. The Waseca, Minn., native went 7-for-10 from the field and also secured seven rebounds and three assists as the Bison salvaged a season split with the Mavericks.

For the week, Morgan averaged 24.5 ppg, 6.0 rpg and shot 65 percent from the field. In 10 League games, Miller owns a 57.9 percent clip from the field to rank second overall.
