SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Kansas City guard Jamar Brown collected the latest TicketSmarter Summit League Men’s Basketball Peak Performer of the Week honor of the season, League officials announced Monday. The weekly honor is the first of Brown’s career.
Brown averaged 24.5 ppg and 6.0 rpg as the Roos extended their winning streak to a season-best four games with victories over South Dakota and Omaha.
In the 82-78 road win over the Coyotes, Brown scored 27 points, pulled down five rebounds and registered a career-high six steals to go with a 10-for-11 effort from the foul line. Those six steals equaled the most by a Summit League player in a game this season.
The Chandler, Ariz., native led the Roos with 22 points in their 63-58 home win over Omaha. Brown went 8-for-15 from the field and added seven rebounds and two assists as Kansas City moved into a tie for third in the Summit League standings at 8-6.
