#SummitWBB Weekly Notebook: No. 16

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – It is here. The final week of the regular season is upon us with the last games of the 2024 regular season tipping off Saturday.
 
South Dakota State enters this week riding the high of capturing at least a share of the regular season title. The Jackrabbits have won at least a share of the regular season trophy ten times overall and five times in the last six seasons.
 
The Bison, currently sitting at No. 2 in the standings, continue to extend their winning streak now sitting at seven consecutive victories. North Dakota State will meet South Dakota State for its final game of the regular season on Saturday at 2 p.m. CT.
 
Oral Roberts has won the last three games and hopes to end the regular season with one more win under its belt. The Golden Eagles close the season at Kansas City on Saturday at 2 p.m. CT.
 
Kansas City closed last week with a victory and looks to carry on with the momentum. The Roos will meet Denver on Thursday at 7 p.m. CT and Oral Roberts on Saturday at 2 p.m. CT.
 
All of this week’s games will be streamed live on the Summit League Network.

Emily Counsel came off the bench and completed the double-digit scoring trio with 11 points on 3-for-6 shooting from the field and 2-for-4 from behind the arc ... The Roos moved to 3-11 in the League after splitting last week’s competition between South Dakota and Omaha ... In the loss to the Coyotes, three Roos finished in double-digits led by Kelby Bannerman’s career-high 16 points on 7-for-11 shooting ... She also pulled down a team-best six rebounds to go along with a pair of assists and a block ... Emani Bennett went 5-for-8 from the field and 3-for-5 from the three-point line en route to 14 points ... Dominique Phillips came off the bench and rounded out the trio with 10 points, four rebounds, three steals, two assists and a block ... In the win over the Mavericks, Tamia Ugass and Alayna Contreras led the charge with 15 points a piece ... Ugass was 7-for-11 from the floor, pulled down four rebounds and dished out three assists in the win ... Contreras finished with four rebounds, two steals and an assist ... Bennett rounded out the double-figure scorers going 5-for-8 from the floor en route to 13 points ... Abby Graham came off the bench and tallied a season-best 13 points ...  Taryn Hamling also came off the bench and contributed 11 points while Abbie Draper narrowly missed a double-double with 11 points and a game-best eight rebounds ... Against in-state rival North Dakota six Bison finished with double figures led once again by Evans ... she finished with 21 points going 5-for-7 from the three point line with three rebounds and an assist ... Deanay Watson recorded her first double-double as a Maverick with 12 points and a team-high 10 rebounds ... Against the Jackrabbits, Opichka went 7-for-11 from the floor for a team-best 15 points and three assists ... Jade Hill and Langbehn followed each chipping in 10 points apiece ... The Jackrabbits have now won 45 consecutive Summit League regular season games, which matches the 12th longest regular season conference win streak in NCAA history ... In the win over Denver, Paige Meyer tallied 17 points and eight rebounds to pace the Jackrabbits ... Mesa Byom tallied 16 points, eight rebounds, four assists and two blocks ... Madison Mathiowetz and Brooklyn Meyer both went 6-for-9 from the floor to contribute 16 points apiece ... Mathiowetz added four assists to the stat sheet while Brooklyn added seven boards ... In the title-clinching victory over St. Thomas, Brooklyn was 11-for-12 from the floor en route to 26 points and eight rebounds to lead the Jacks ...  Paige narrowly missed a double-double with 23 points and nine assists ... Mathiowetz completed the 20-plus point performers as she had 20 points with three three-pointers, four rebounds and three assists ... Ellie Colbeck came off the bench and finished 4-for-6 from the floor and 3-for-5 from behind the arc for 11 points ...
