DU’s Jones garners TicketSmarter #SummitWBB weekly accolades

Pioneers’ Jones tabs latest TicketSmarter #SummitWBB peak performer honors

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Denver guard Jordan Jones picked up this week’s TicketSmarter Summit League Women’s Basketball Peak Performer of the Week honors, League officials announced Monday. She led the Pioneers with two 20-plus point games, helping her squad to back-to-back wins in League play for the first time this season.
 
In a 65-50 home win over Kansas City, Jones paced the Pioneers with a game-high 20 points including going 4-for-5 from the free throw line. The sophomore also pulled down six rebounds and dished out two assists in the victory over the Roos.
 
In Denver’s 102-92 victory over Oral Roberts, Jones went 9-for-11 from the floor and 3-for-5 from beyond the arc to finish with 24 points as the Pioneers racked up a season-high point total. Jones also grabbed five rebounds, recorded three assists and stole the ball once.
 
On the week, Jones averaged 22.0 ppg, 5.5 rpg and 2.5 apg while shooting 64 percent from the field.
