SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Denver graduate student Anna Zanusso and head coach Martha Richards both registered respective three-peats as the 2024 women’s golf individual awards were announced Thursday by Summit League officials.

Zanusso claimed her third consecutive Player of the Year honor becoming just the second play to ever achieve that feat, joining Hall of Famer Amy Anderson of North Dakota State with that distinction. Anderson won the award four consecutive years from 2010-13.

Richards is now 3-for-3 in earning Coach of the Year honors since taking over the DU program. She has led the Pioneers to back-to-back record-breaking performances at the 2023 and 2024 Championships.

Zanusso led all Summit League golfers with a 72.0 stroke average and earned Summit League All-Tournament Team and All-League First Team honors for the fourth consecutive season. She was the Pioneers top finisher at the NCAA East Lansing Regional, tying for seventh with a 54-hole total of 212 (-4) to post her fifth top-10 finish of the season.

The Castelfranco, Italy native tied for third at this year’s Summit League Championship, which was held at the Firekeeper Golf Course in Mayetta, Kan. She posted her fourth straight top-five finish at the event with a 213 (-3) total. Zanusso finished the season with 21 rounds of par or better over 32 competitive rounds.

Richards guided the Pioneers to a 54-hole total of 850 (-14), which set the championship scoring record for the second straight year.

St. Thomas freshman Kathryn VanArragon was named the Newcomer of the Year after leading the Tommies to a tie for third-at the League Championship.

VanArragon tied for 17th at the championship and had a quintet of top-five finishes during her first collegiate season. She also claimed her first career medalist honors at the Tommie Invitational and was fourth among Summit golfers with a 73.6 stroke average, that included nine rounds of par or better.
