Kansas City Sweeps #SummitWSOC weekly honors

Kansas City takes home first peak performer weekly awards

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Kansas City forward Ashley Koch and goalkeeper Maddie Sibbing were named the Summit League Women’s Soccer Peak Performers of the Week following the opening weekend of the 2024 season. Koch collected the offensive accolade, while Sibbing earned the defensive honor, league officials announced Monday.
 
Koch earned her first goal as a Roo, scoring in the 41st minute of a 1-1 draw with Marquette. She finished with two shots against the Golden Eagles and appeared for 13 minutes in the Roos’ draw against No.12 Saint Louis on Thursday night.
 
Sibbing posted a shutout in her collegiate debut, holding her former team scoreless in Kansas City’s 0-0 draw with No.12 Saint Louis. The redshirt freshman made five saves and helped the Roos earn their first result against a Top 25 team in program history.

  • Made three first-half saves and five total against the Billikens.
  • This is the first career Summit League weekly accolade for Sibbing.
