#SummitWSOC Weekly Notebook: No. 5

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Summit League women's soccer programs came up victorious with seven wins and four draws during the fourth week of the season. North Dakota was the only team to get a pair of wins defeating Idaho State (2-1) and Jamestown (6-1). Other wins from this week came from the Golden Eagles, Mavericks, Tommies, Roos and the Pioneers.

Kansas City and Omaha both remained unbeaten last week as the Roos improved to 4-0-2 and the Mavericks moved to 4-0-3 on the young season.

• Denver put on a big offensive performance in its 5-2 victory over Southern Utah with sophomore Liv Moritz scoring in the 27th minute and again in the 60th minute to record her second career brace.
• DU freshmen Megan Murray scored the fourth goal of the game with the assist coming from her sister Vanessa Murray. Pio sophomore Emma Thielbahr scored the final goal in the 84th minute to log her first collegiate goal.
• South Dakota State earned a 1-1 draw with Drake to push its record 4-2-1. Freshman Zoe Wittkop’s first career goal was the equalizer in the 89th minute.
• The Roos logged their fifth shutout of this season in a 0-0 draw with Missouri State. KC has allowed only two goals on the season and with four wins have already exceeded the program’s win total of three from a season ago.
•Roo goalkeeper Riley Moore has already logged three shutouts in four starts, tying her career best for clean sheets in a single season.
• Omaha registered its third straight shutout in a 1-0 win vs. Portland State.
• Maverick goalkeeper Mia Reedtz Rehde Olesen secured a season-high five saves in the blanking of Portland State, earning her 12th career shutout.
• North Dakota State earned its fourth cleansheet of the season in a 0-0 draw against Idaho State. The Bison outshot Idaho State 16-9.
• Bison keeper Payton Mulberry logged her second clean sheet on the season with five saves.
• North Dakota took down Idaho State (2-1) and in-state foe Jamestown (6-1) to remain unbeaten at home (4-0-0). Senior Alisha Maake scored her first career goal in the seventh minute against the Jimmies to open the scoring.
• Oral Roberts earned its first road win of the 2024 season against Tarleton State. Audrey Weir tallied her first collegiate goal and Cary Torgesen added her first of the season in the 2-1 win over the Texans.
• USD went 0-1-1 last week, earning a tie on the road at Central Michigan before falling 3-2 at home to Portland State.
• St. Thomas split two matches last week, capping the action with a 6-0 win over Viterbo. Lexi Huber scored twice to push her league-leading goal total to five.
