#SummitWSOC Weekly Notebook: No. 6

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Summit League women's soccer programs came up victorious with nine wins during the fifth week of the season. The Golden Eagles, Mavericks and Jackrabbits were the only teams to get a pair of wins in the week leading up to league play.  

Omaha remained the only undefeated Summit League team, improving to a record of 6-0-2 after taking down UC Santa Barbara and Northern Iowa last week.

Around The League
• Maverick graduate student Regan Zimmers assisted in those wins with a goal and an assist while logging 180 minutes.
• Kansas City saw its eight-match, season-opening unbeaten streak end with a 1-0 loss to Creighton. Prior to that, the Roos blanked UIC to record their sixth shutout of the season.
• Goalkeeper Riley Moore set a new career-high with her fourth shutout of the season in the win over the Flames.
• Denver recorded its fourth shutout of the season with a 1-0 win over Colorado State also marking their 250th clean sheet in the program’s Division I history.
•DU’s Vanessa Murray scored the game-winning goal against the Rams, which was her fourth career goal and second game winner.
• DU keeper Molly Wissman collected her second shutout of the season and eigth of her career.
• The Golden Eagles ended the weekend with a pair of wins over Missouri State (2-1) and Little Rock (5-0).
• ORU’s Julia Thasaphong, who was named to the Top Drawer Soccer “Team of the Week”, had a multi-goal game against Little Rock scoring in the 23rd and 26th minute and secured the win over Missouri State with the game-winning goal.
• The Jackrabbits won both matches last week, defeating Wayne State (4-0) and Oregon State (3-2) to improve their overall unbeaten streak to six.
• Mia Bosch set the tone of the Jackrabbits against Wayne State by scoring the first in goal in the fourth minute of the game.
• Jackrabbit senior Avery LeBlanc left the weekend with a goal in each game and shares second on the team with three tallies on the year.
• North Dakota finished off its non-conference season a with a battle against CSUN with a 1-0 loss. The Fighting Hawks could not recover after CSUN’s goal in the 15th minute.
• St. Thomas matched up against former conference foe Western Illinois, scoring two goals within 17 minutes of the match starting to knock off the Leathernecks.
•Tommie goalkeeper Olivia Rowe locked up her third shutout of the season in the 2-0 victory.
