SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Thirty-plus point games earn Kansas City’s Alayna Contreras and South Dakota State’s Brooklyn Meyer shares of this week’s Kwik Star Summit League Women’s Basketball Peak Performer of the Week accolades.
Contreras helped the Roos to a pair of wins over Denver and North Dakota State after averaging 20.5 ppg and 81 percent from the free throw line last week. In a 73-66 overtime win over Denver, Contreras dropped a career-high 31 points, sinking three triples and 12-for-14 shots from the charity stripe.
In a 56-51 comeback win over North Dakota State, Contreras scored 10 points and dished out a team-best four assists to help guide the Roos to victory. It was the first regular season win over NDSU since Feb. 19, 2022.
South Dakota State picked up an 87-73 win over North Dakota with Meyer leading the scoring efforts. Meyer shot 7-for-11 from the field and was 8-for-9 from the free throw line en route to a team-best 30 points. She also added three rebounds and two blocks to her stat line against the Fighting Hawks.

- Pulled down three rebounds and blocked two shots in the win
- Dropped 19 of her 30 points in the second half, 11 in the fourth quarter
