KC’s Zolesio, UND’s Miller garner Kwik Star #SummitWSOC weekly honors

The Roos and Fighting Hawks collect peak performer weekly honors

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Kansas City midfielder Delfina Zolesio and North Dakota goalkeeper Grace Miller were tabbed Kwik Star Summit League Women’s Soccer Peak Performers of the Week following the third week of league play. Zolesio earned the offensive award, while Miller grabbed the defensive accolade, league officials announced Tuesday. The weekly awards are the second of the season for both players, while Miller collected the third of her career.

Zolesio tallied five points across two matches against South Dakota and St. Thomas, guiding Kansas City to a 1-1 draw with the Yotes and a 3-2 victory over the Tommies. The Buenos Aires, Argentina, native converted a penalty kick in the 64th minute to secure the Roos’ lone goal against South Dakota.

The graduate carried that momentum into Sunday’s contest, recording her league-leading 10th goal of the season paired with an assist in the thrilling win over St. Thomas.

Miller anchored the North Dakota backline in a 1-0 shutout victory at North Dakota State on Sunday afternoon. The San Diego, Calif., native recorded six saves to keep the Bison off the board and secure the Fighting Hawks’ first league win of the season.

The standout goalkeeper continues to pace the league with a .847 save percentage while ranking second in total saves (72). The win over rival NDSU marked UND’s first conference victory since 2023 and its first conference road win since 2020.
