SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – St. Thomas setter Morgan Kealy and South Dakota State middle blocker Sydni Schetnan were named the latest Summit League Kwik Star Volleyball Peak Performers of the Week, league officials announced Tuesday. Kealy claimed her first career offensive honor, while Schetnan nabbed her third career defensive award.
Kealy delivered one of the top performances of the Summit League season, averaging 13.0 assists per set across wins over North Dakota and North Dakota State. This marked the second-highest single-week average in the league this year.
The River Falls, Wis., native racked up 85 assists and 24 digs on the week, helping guide the Tommies to a perfect 2-0 record. She recorded her 10th double-double of the season with 52 assists and 15 digs in a four-set win over North Dakota.
Kealy followed that up with 33 assists and nine digs in a sweep of North Dakota State.
Schetnan led the league with 1.86 blocks per set and 13 total blocks across two matches for the Jackrabbits. The Sioux Falls, S.D., native notched seven kills, a .500 hitting clip, and four blocks in a three-set victory over North Dakota State.
The Jacks’ redshirt senior then earned four kills along with nine blocks, while helping hold South Dakota to a .135 hitting clip to improve the Jackrabbits to 7-0 in conference play.
