SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota State midfielder Jenna Maloy and Oral Roberts’ defender Hannah Voskuhl grabbed the Kwik Star Summit League Women’s Soccer Peak Performer of the Week awards following the second week of league play. Maloy grabbed the offensive accolade, while Voskuhl secured the defensive honor, league officials announced Tuesday. The weekly award is the second of Maloy’s career, while Voskuhl earned the honor for the first time of her career.
Maloy totaled five points across two matches against North Dakota and North Dakota State, helping her team to a 2-2 draw with the Fighting Hawks and a 2-0 win over the Bison. The Hugo, Minn., native recorded her first career brace in the victory against North Dakota State and added an assist vs. North Dakota. The freshman finished the weekend with seven shots (six on goal), five points, and 46 minutes of action.
Voskuhl anchored the ORU backline in a pair of road shutout victories over Omaha and Denver. The Golden Eagles topped the Mavericks 2-0 before edging the Pioneers 1-0. The Edmond, Okla., native contributed offensively as well with a goal against Omaha and an assist vs. Denver. Voskuhl played all 180 minutes across the two matches to help Oral Roberts secure the weekend sweep.
