NDSU’s Jansen, Borer sweep the Kwik Star #SummitVB weekly accolades

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – North Dakota State outside hitter Lauren Jansen and defensive specialist Rya Borer were named the Summit League Kwik Star Volleyball Peak Performers of the Week, league officials announced Tuesday. Jansen claimed her first career offensive honor, while Borer nabbed her first defensive award.
 
Jansen garnered 36 total kills, 21 digs, and posted a 4.00 kills per set average during the Bisons’ second weekend of conference play. The Plainfield, Ill., native hit .278 from the floor and recorded a double-double, putting away 19 kills and 12 digs in five-set win against Kansas City.
 
The Bison junior then registered 17 kills and nine digs against Omaha while garnering a .250 hitting percentage.
 
Borer totaled 41 digs and 18 assists across two matches during the second weekend of conference play. The Lincoln, Neb., native had 10 assists and 24 digs in the victory over the Roos.

The NDSU freshman then earned 17 digs along with eight assists and two service aces in the four-set victory over the Mavericks to improve to 3-0 in conference play.
