SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The 2025 Summit League Volleyball Championship bracket was revealed by league officials Tuesday with South Dakota State earning the No. 1 seed after clinching its second straight and third regular season title overall during the program’s Division I era. The Jackrabbits (22-3, 16-0 SL) secured the crown last week and have won sixteen straight matches.
As the top seed, SDSU earns a first-round bye and will face the winner of the No. 4 North Dakota State (16-10, 10-6 SL) vs. No. 5 Denver (17-10, 9-7 SL) match Monday, Nov. 24 at 6 p.m. CT. The Bison and the Pioneers play in the second quarterfinal of the Summit League Championship on Sunday, Nov. 23 at 6 p.m.
Denver has won four of the last 10 tournament titles while North Dakota State will be seeking its fourth tournament crown. The Jackrabbits are seeking the program’s first Summit postseason title since 2007.
Reigning Summit League tournament champion South Dakota (20-8, 12-4 SL) will be joining the Jackrabbits with a first-round bye after clinching the No. 2 seed. The Coyotes will be making their 13
th consecutive appearance and have won five of the last seven postseason events. South Dakota takes the court for the first time in Monday’s opening semifinal at 3 p.m. CT.
The Coyotes will play the winner of the match between No. 3 St. Thomas (18-9, 11-5 SL) and No. 6 Omaha (10-15, 7-9 SL) that will take place Sunday at 3 p.m. CT. The Mavericks are making their ninth straight appearance in the championship while the Tommies are making their first appearance.
The winners of Monday’s semifinal matches will play in Tuesday’s championship match at 6 p.m. CT with the champion earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. All quarterfinal, semifinal and championship matches will be streamed on the Summit League Network.
