SDSU’s Zgonc and USD’s Farris earn the final Kwik Star #SummitVB weekly accolades of the 2025 season

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota State outside hitter Sylvie Zgonc and South Dakota defensive specialist Kamryn Farris were named the final Summit League Kwik Star Volleyball Peak Performers of the Week, league officials announced Thursday. Zgonc claimed her second offensive honor of the season, while Farris nabbed her fifth defensive award.

Zgonc helped lead South Dakota State finish off an undefeated season during the final week of League play. The Jackrabbit junior tallied 29 kills, 4.83 kills per set, and a .411 hitting percentage across a 2-0 week with wins over Kansas City and North Dakota.
 
The Hartford, Wis., native racked up 18 kills, five digs, and a .400 hitting percentage in a three-set win against the Roos. She then recorded 11 kills with six digs, and a .429 hitting clip in a sweep of North Dakota.
 
Farris notched a new season-high with 27 digs in a five-set win against Oral Roberts. She closed out the regular season with 15 digs to go along with seven assists in a three-set victory against North Dakota State as USD secured the No. 2 seed at the upcoming Summit League Championship.

The Coyote senior led the league with 5.25 digs per set across two victories and ranks 22nd in the country with 504 digs entering the postseason.
