#SummitWSOC Weekly Notebook: No. 13 (Championship Edition)

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The road to the Women’s Soccer Summit League Championship title concludes in Tulsa, as the final four teams take the pitch at Case Soccer Complex for Thursday’s semifinals and Sunday’s championship match.

The top-seeded Golden Eagles earned the right to host after claiming a share of their first regular-season title since 2004. No. 2 seed Denver aims to end a four-year title drought, last winning the title in 2020. Oral Roberts looks to capture its first Summit League Championship since the 2004 season.

No. 3 seed South Dakota State and No. 5 seed Kansas City each enter the semifinals following quarterfinal victories last weekend. The reigning tournament champion Jackrabbits will face No. 2 seed Denver after a 1-0 win over sixth-seeded Omaha.

Kansas City will take on top-seeded Oral Roberts after a 1-0 triumph over No. 4 seed South Dakota, marking the program’s first-ever Summit League Championship victory.

During the regular season, Denver earned a 1-0 victory over South Dakota State at home on Oct. 9, while Oral Roberts defeated Kansas City 2-1 on the road on Sept. 27.

Denver and South Dakota State met in last year’s Summit League Championship semifinal, when the Jackrabbits earned a 2-1 victory en route to capturing their eighth tournament title. The ORU-KC matchup marks just the second postseason meeting between the programs. Their last meeting came in the 2023 quarterfinals, where the Golden Eagles recorded a 2-1 victory.

All Summit League games will be streamed on the Summit League Network.
