SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – After a drama-filled final day of the regular season, the 2025 Summit League Men's Championship bracket was unveiled by league officials Wednesday evening. Denver claimed the No. 1 seed in the four-team field after securing a share of the regular season title thanks to a 1-1 draw with St. Thomas.
The Pioneers, who scored the equalizer against the Tommies in the 86
th minute, captured the 11th regular season crown in program history, finishing with a 4-1-1 record and 13 points in Summit play.
Kansas City will defend its tournament title as the No. 2 seed after also earning a share of the regular season title in dramatic fashion. The Roos earned their first regular season trophy since 2010 with after rallying for a 3-3 draw against Delaware, getting the equalizer from the penalty spot in the 89
th minute to finish with an identical record as the Pioneers.
KC was down 2-0 with just under 20 minutes to play before leveling the match against Delaware with goals in the 71
st and 76
th minutes. The Blue Hens pulled back ahead in the 87
th minute only to see the Roos square things up once again. DU defeated Kansas City 2-1 in the regular-season opener on Sept. 27 to hold the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Roos.
The Blue Hens will be the No. 3 seed after finishing their first conference slate as a Summit League member at 3-1-2 with 11 points. The Roos’ late tally set up a rematch for the Blue Hens against the Roos in a semifinal match from Durwood Soccer Stadium Sunday at 5 p.m. CT.
DU will play host to No. 4 seed Oral Roberts in Sunday’s first semifinal. The Pioneers and Golden Eagles will face off at the University of Denver Soccer Stadium at 1 p.m. MT.
Oral Roberts navigated its way into a postseason berth after battling to a 0-0 draw with Omaha Wednesday evening. The Golden Eagles finished in a four-way tie with the Mavericks, Massachusetts and the Tommies at 1-3-2 and five points, but won the tiebreaker thanks to owning the best goal differential amongst that quartet in Summit League contests at -2.
The semifinal winners will play at the highest-remaining seed on Saturday, Nov. 15 at a time to be determined. The winner of the title match will earn the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
