SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Omaha guard Lance Waddles secured the latest Kwik Star Summit League Men’s Basketball Peak Performer of the Week accolade, garnering the first of his career league officials announced Tuesday.
Waddles put together back-to-back 25-point performances as the Mavericks stretched their winning streak to a season-best four games with wins over York (Neb.) and Lamar last week.
Both were season-high efforts from Waddles who drilled 12 3-pointers across those two games to take over the Division I lead in 3-point field goals made with 52 on the season.
The Shreveport, La., native made a career-high seven from distance in the 105-58 win over York, then made five as the Mavericks outlasted the Cardinals on the road in overtime, 85-82. He also added 13 rebounds in the two victories as Omaha moved back to the .500 mark on the season at 7-7.
