KC’s Trotter earns #SummitWBB weekly accolade

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Kansas City guard Tierra Trotter garnered the latest Summit League Women’s Basketball Kwik Star Peak Performer of the Week honor, league officials announced Tuesday. The weekly award marked Trotter’s first of her career.

Trotter scored a season-high 21 points on 8-of-14 shooting, including two three-pointers as Kansas City pushed Missouri to the brink before falling 71-67 in overtime. The Roos led through the first three quarters before giving up the lead in the fourth on the road.

In addition to three rebounds, the Pine Bluff, Ark., native recorded two assists and two steals, highlighted by a critical overtime steal after cutting the deficit to two, which led to a pair free throws for the graduate.

Trotter logged a season-high 41 minutes in the loss, while her eight field goals and two three-pointers also set season highs.
