SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – A total of 11 student-athletes, five women and six men, were selected to the 2025 Golf Academic All-Summit League teams. The honorees were selected for the award based on their academics in the classroom and performances on the course during the 2025 golf season.
On the women’s side, Denver’s Emma Bryant earned her second career Academic All-League selection, she is joined by fellow repeat honorees Madi Hicks of North Dakota State and McKenzie Mages of South Dakota State.
Rounding out the women’s honorees are Shakira-Ann Kuys of South Dakota, the 2025 Summit League Women’s Golf Scholar of the Championship presented by JLG Architects, and Emily Karmazin of Omaha—each receiving the accolade for the first time in their careers.
For the men, Rylin Petry of North Dakota State, the 2025 Men’s Golf Scholar of the Championship presented by JLG Architects, headlines a group of four Bison to receive Academic All-League honors. Petry, along with teammates Josh Galvin, Ian Simonich and Max Wilson, each claimed the accolade for the first time.
From North Dakota, Erik Stoxen earned Academic All-League recognition for the third time in his career. His teammate, Kagan Kollar, picked up his first career selection to round out the men’s honorees.
To be eligible for the Academic All-League team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 (on a 4.0 scale), completed at least one full academic year at the current institution and participated in 50 percent of his team's competitions.
Nominations are brought forth by sports information directors from the league's eleven institutions and voting is conducted by both the SIDs and facility athletic representatives (FARs). The team is made up of the five student-athletes receiving the most votes with all ties standing.
