SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Summit League women's soccer programs had an impressive third week of play, logging a combined 10-4-2 record against a tough slate of competition. Oral Roberts and North Dakota State each walked away from the weekend with a pair of wins, with the Golden Eagles extending their win streak to four games.
ORU’s four consecutive clean sheets propelled them to second in the Summit League standings, trailing the once-beaten Fighting Hawks. South Dakota and South Dakota State follow one point behind Oral Roberts as each Summit League squad will look to make a splash in the standings this week.
Around The League
• North Dakota delivered a fifth-consecutive win on Thursday at Jackson State (5-0) before falling to Nicholls (2-1) on Sunday evening. The Fighting Hawks' 5-0 start marks the first time UND has begun the season with five straight victories since 2005. North Dakota also picked up their third consecutive road win following the victory over Jackson State, which notes the first time since 2005 that the Fighting Hawks picked up three road wins in a row to begin the season.
• Kansas City graduate transfer Delfina Zolesio climbed to first place in goals scored amongst Summit League players after delivering a brace in the 3-2 victory over in-state foe Lindenwood. Those two goals pushed her season total to six, which is one ahead of North Dakota's Charlie Basinet.
• Oral Roberts registered back-to-back shutouts over Abilene Christian (2-0) and Louisiana Tech (3-0), propelling the Golden Eagles to second place in the Summit standings with 12 points. Following clean sheets against Friends and East Texas A&M in the second week of action, ORU has now been victorious in shutout fashion for four consecutive matches for the first time since 2006.
• North Dakota State put together an unbeaten week of play with a pair of shutout wins on home turf against Concordia-St. Paul (3-0) and MSU Moorhead (1-0). Goalkeeper Hannah Stipp logged both shutouts for the Bison to record her first two clean sheets of the season.
• The Jackrabbits departed Hawaii with a 2-0-1 ledger dating back to August 25. South Dakota State secured a 2-0 sweep of Hawaii Pacific before blanking California Baptist 1-0 three days later. The Jacks closed their trip on Sunday with a 1-1 result against Northern Arizona.
• After dropping its home tilt to Nebraska, Omaha looks to bounce back and secure a road win over I-80 rival Drake on Wednesday night.
• South Dakota redshirt freshman Klarissa Vega found the back of the net once to power the Coyotes to a win at Idaho 1-0, handing the Vandals their first home loss since 2023.
• League squads collected a 10-4-2 combined record in the third week of play, going 7-2 at home, 2-2-1 on the road, and 1-0-1 in neutral-site matches.
