Kansas City, Omaha, and St. Thomas headline 2026 #SummitMSOC awards

The Roos notched four of the six individual awards while the Mavericks and Tommies each garnered one honor

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Regular season champion Kansas City claimed four of the six 2026 Summit League Men’s Soccer individual awards, while Omaha and St. Thomas each collected one honor. The awards, along with the all-league and all-newcomer teams, were announced Thursday by the League.

St. Thomas senior Moritz Krenc earned Goalkeeper of the Year honors, becoming the first Tommie in program history to receive a Summit League Men’s Soccer individual award. Krenc led the League with a 1.00 goals-against average, allowing just five goals while recording 20 saves across five conference contests. He posted a .800 save percentage, recorded two shutouts and averaged 4.0 saves per game.

Omaha senior Italo Jenkins claimed Offensive Player of the Year honors, becoming the second Maverick in program history to earn the distinction. Jenkins led all Summit League forwards with five goals in conference play.

Kansas City head coach Ryan Pore was named Coach of the Year for the third consecutive season and fourth time overall. Sophomore midfielder Mark Ramarola swept Midfielder of the Year and Newcomer of the Year honors, becoming the third consecutive Roo to earn the latter distinction. Senior Bryson Gosch collected Defensive Player of the Year honors, marking just the second time in program history a Kansas City player has received the award.

Pore, Gosch and Ramarola helped lead the Roos to their second consecutive regular-season title. Ramarola contributed four goals in conference play as Kansas City enters postseason competition ranked No. 12 in the United Soccer Coaches poll and No. 13 in the Top Drawer Soccer rankings.

Kansas City also paced the all-league selections with four first-team honorees. Forwards Mariano Beunza and Raphael Kistmann joined Ramarola and Gosch on the squad. All four Roos earned their first career first-team selections, with Kistmann and Gosch previously receiving second-team recognition in 2025.

Delaware and Omaha each landed two players on the first team, while UMass, St. Thomas and Oral Roberts each had one selection.

Jenkins was joined by Omaha midfielder Brett Perkins on the first team. Perkins recorded three goals during conference play. Delaware midfielder Freddy Jefferys and defender Sean Smith earned their first career first-team selections, while Krenc represented St. Thomas. UMass forward Garrison Murphy and Oral Roberts defender Aiden Ussery rounded out the 11-member squad.

Kansas City and UMass each placed three student-athletes on the all-league second team.

The Roos' selections included defender Brevyn Cole, midfielder Miguel Fernandez and goalkeeper Brandon Kincaid, who recorded 12 saves in conference play. UMass was represented by forward Liam Gainey, defender Rian Mulherin and midfielder Shane Velez.
Oral Roberts defender Chance Anderson and midfielder Baptiste Lechuer joined Omaha defender Simon Guardiero and forward Maguire Perkins on the second team. St. Thomas forward Oliver Corris rounded out the selections.

Five second-team or first-team all-league selections also earned spots on the Summit League All-Newcomer Team. The group included Oral Roberts' Anderson and Lechuer, UMass' Mulherin and Murphy, and Kansas City's Ramarola.

Joining the five all-league honorees on the newcomer squad were Oral Roberts forward Emre Aydin and goalkeeper Cameron Parma, Omaha's Lucas Foreman and Amari Fowlkes, Delaware forward Frederik Flaskager and St. Thomas forward Cian Williams. Fowlkes and Williams were also among the 11 student-athletes earning all-league honorable mention recognition.
