NDSU’s Hicks earns first Kwik Star #SummitGF weekly award of the spring season

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – North Dakota State senior Madi Hicks garnered the first Kwik Star #SummitGF Peak Golfer of the Week accolades of the spring campaign, League officials announced Thursday. Hicks picked up the women’s honor for the first time this season and the third time in her career.

Hicks opened the spring season with a strong showing at the Soboba Springs Classic, finishing 10th and leading the Bison in scoring to help the team place fourth out of 10 squads. The Victoria, Minn., native carded her best round in the second lap, shooting 73 (+1) with birdies on the 14th and 15th holes.

Hicks added two more birdies in the final round to close with a 77 (+5) and notch her second top-10 finish of the season.
