SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Omaha guard Paul Djobet garnered the latest Kwik Star Summit League Men’s Basketball Peak Performer of the Week accolade, securing the first of his career, league officials announced Tuesday.
Djobet put up back-to-back double-doubles, averaging 21.5 ppg and 10.5 rpg as the Mavericks extended their winning streak to three straight and move over the .500 mark in Summit play.
The Lille, France native opened his week with a 16-point, 10-rebound double-double in an 80-71 home win over South Dakota State.
Djobet then scored 18 of his career-high 27 in the second half at Denver as the defending regular season and tournament champions erased an eight-point halftime deficit to post an 84-82 victory. He went 9-for-18 from the field and registered his third straight double-double by grabbing a game-high 11 rebounds.
