NDSU’s Koenen earns latest #SummitWBB weekly honor

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – North Dakota State forward Avery Koenen was named the latest Summit League Women’s Basketball Kwik Star Peak Performer of the Week, league officials announced Tuesday. The weekly award is the seventh of Koenen’s season, tying Kevi Luper of Oral Roberts (2009-10) for the most weekly awards in a single season.

Koenen opened the week with seven points and a game-high 15 rebounds as the Bison cruised past Kansas City 74-49 on the road, adding two steals and a block in the win.

With the victory over the Mavericks, NDSU advanced its win streak to 20 games, the second most in the country behind UConn (41).
