SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota State forward Brooklyn Meyer was named the final Summit League Women’s Basketball Kwik Star Peak Performer of the Week of the 2025-26 season, league officials announced Tuesday. The weekly honor is Meyer’s seventh of the season, tying Kevi Luper of Oral Roberts (2009-10) for the second-most in a single season. It also moves Meyer into second all-time in career weekly awards with 13, trailing only Luper’s 14.
Meyer became South Dakota State’s single-season scoring leader (662) following a pair of wins at North Dakota State and at home against South Dakota, closing the regular season and securing the No. 2 seed in the Summit League Tournament.
The Larchwood, Iowa, native notched 18 points in the 59-44 win over North Dakota State, handing the Bison their first league loss and snapping a 23-game win streak. The senior added 11 rebounds on 7-of-8 shooting to record a double-double in 33 minutes of action.
Meyer closed out her home career in memorable fashion, posting 33 points on 13-of-17 shooting, seven rebounds, and two assists in an 82-49 win over South Dakota. The 33 points were the highest she has scored at home and marked the seventh 30-point game of her career.
In league play, Meyer leads the Summit League in scoring at 22.4 ppg and field goal percentage (68.3), while ranking third in rebounding at 8.6 boards per contest.
