SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – A total of 30 Summit League student-athletes, 15 women and 15 men, were named to the 2025-26 Swimming and Diving Academic All-Summit League teams, league officials released Wednesday. Selections were based on a combination of academic achievement and athletic performance throughout the season.
Denver led the league with nine selections on the 30-member list, followed by Omaha with seven. South Dakota placed five student-athletes on the team, while South Dakota State added four selections. Eastern Illinois and Southern Indiana each had two honorees, and St. Thomas rounded out the list with one.
South Dakota’s Grace Schultz, the Women’s Scholar of the Championship presented by JLG Architects, and South Dakota State’s Jenna Currier each earned their third career Academic All-League honor. On the men’s side, Omaha’s Jackson Burrus, USD’s Matthew Sorbe, SDSU’s Braxton McGrath, and Southern Indiana’s Lane Pollock also secured their third career selections.
On the women’s side, receiving their second career accolades were DU’s Savanna Berry, EIU’s Genevieve Biberdorf, and OMA’s Aubrey Hutter.
On the men’s side, Denver’s Nico Morton earned the honor for the second time in his career, joined by Eastern Illinois’s Nolan Wallace, Omaha’s Kyle Kulow and Southern Indiana’s Sam Smith, who also collected second career selections.
To be eligible for the Academic All-League team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30 (on a 4.0 scale) completed at least one full academic year at the current institution and participated in 50 percent of their team's competitions.
Nominations are brought forth by sports information directors from the league's institutions that carry swimming and diving, and voting is conducted by both the SIDs and facility athletic representatives (FARs). Each team is made up of the 15 student-athletes receiving the most votes with all ties standing.
