League announces #SummitWGF All-League awards

MESA, ARIZ. – Summit League officials released the 2026 Women’s Golf All-League teams Friday ahead of Sunday morning’s opening round of the championship at Longbow Golf Course. The teams were selected by a vote of the League’s eight head coaches.

Oral Roberts’ Avery Blake and South Dakota State’s McKenzie Mages headline the 2026 Women’s Golf All-Summit League First Team as both earn their third career all-league honors, continuing to establish themselves among the league’s most consistent performers. Mages led all Summit League golfers with a 73.5 scoring average and two victories across 29 rounds. Mages wins came at the Fall Jackrabbit Invitational and Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational.

Blake followed closely behind Mages at 74.0, securing her third consecutive first-team selection. This season, Blake notched a season-best third place finish at the Texas Golf Showdown, shooting +1.

St. Thomas’ Kathryn VanArragon returns to the first team after previously earning the honor in 2024, finishing the season with a 74.0 scoring average to rank among the league leaders. VanArragon collected a fifth place finish at the Diane Thompson Invitational and led the Tommies by three strokes on average through 22 rounds this season.

North Dakota State’s Madi Hicks earned first-team recognition after posting a 74.4 scoring average over 29 rounds. The senior tallied three top-five finishes this season and recorded a career-low 67 (-4) at the Bell Bank “Pay It Forward” Collegiate, tied for the third-lowest round in program history.

Denver’s Logan Hale rounded out the group with a team-best 74.5 average, earning the first all-league distinction of her career after landing on the All-Summit Freshman team last season. Hale’s selection continued Denver’s strong presence atop the league awards, as the Pioneers once again placed multiple players across all three teams.

The second team was made up entirely of repeat all-league performers, led by Omaha’s Katie Ruge, who paced the Mavericks with a 74.3 scoring average. The reigning Newcomer of the Year posted consistent results throughout the spring, highlighted by victories at the Big O Classic and Stampede at the Creek.

Denver’s Maren Farbu, South Dakota’s Ella Greenberg, North Dakota State’s Norah Roberts, and Oral Roberts’ Anna Swan each added a second career all-league honor, with all five second-team selections finishing inside the top tier of league scoring averages.

North Dakota State’s Avery Bartels led the honorable mention selections, while Omaha’s Emily Karmazin and Oral Roberts’ Jayla Kucy also earned recognition after ranking among the league’s top 10 in scoring average. Denver added two more honorees in Anna Neumayer and Kaitlin Zinger, continuing the Pioneers’ depth across the league standings.

The All-Freshman Team rounded out the awards, showcasing St. Thomas’ Genevieve Birkeland, South Dakota State’s Riko Danjo, Denver’s Holly Hamilton, Oral Roberts’ Khloe Jones, and North Dakota State’s Jeri Lafleche all earning recognition in their debut seasons.
