ORU's Abernathy, NDSU's Stratton Earn Women's Soccer Weekly Honors
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Abernathy records her first career Offensive Player
of the Week award after leading Oral Roberts to a win and tie in
Summit League action last week. In the victory over IPFW, Abernathy
scored two of the Golden Eagles' three goals, including the
game-winner. The freshman tallied the game-tying goal at the 58:40
mark of the match and collected the game-winner just 65 seconds
later. For the week, Abernathy had two goals and four points and
now has four goals and nine points on the season.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Abbey Stratton, North Dakota State

Stratton earns her fourth Defensive Player of the
Week honor this season after helping the Bison to a perfect 2-0
league record last week, including a shutout over Western Illinois.
The junior anchored a backline that held WIU to only four shots,
limiting the Leathernecks' leading scorer Jenny Green to just one
shot in the match. She tallied her first goal of the season, a
game-tying one, against IUPUI off a corner kick and assisted on
Michelle Gaffaney's game-winner in a 2-1 win over the
Jaguars.
