Baseball Player and Pitchers of the Week for their performances
March 19-25.

Cuthbertson
collects his third career award and second-straight this season
after leading Southern Utah to a 3-1 record last week. In a one-run
extra-inning loss at Kansas, the senior went 4-for-4 with three
extra-base hits (2 home runs, double), five RBI and three runs
scored. He added a pair of two-hit games in the series sweep over
Chicago State and extended his hitting streak to six games. For the
week, the shortstop batted .600 (9-for-15) with eight RBI, five
runs scored, three walks, two doubles, two homers and one stolen
base. Nearly half of his hits were for extra bases and recorded a
1.133 slugging percentage and .684 on-base percentage on the
week.

Community)
Gonzalez captures his fifth career award and first this season
after collecting the victory at No. 12 Cal State Fullerton. The
sophomore went 7.2 innings with six punchouts and only one walk. He
surrendered five hits, all singles, and no runs in the 3-0 win. It
was ORU's first victory over a ranked opponent since last season's
win over No. 10 TCU in the NCAA Regionals.
John Straka,
North Dakota State
Jr., RHP (Chaska, Minn./Chaska)
Straka earns his second career Pitcher of the Week award after
tossing a complete game shutout at Big Ten foe Minnesota. The
senior right-hander tied a career high with eight strikeouts,
allowed only two walks and six singles. It was his first complete
game of the year and third career shutout. Straka has not allowed
an extra-base hit in 24.1 innings of work.
