Season Ends for Leathernecks in NCAA Regional
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The Western Illinois menʼs golf team officially had its season end in the NCAA East Regional at Council Fire Golf Club in with a 26th place finish.

After battling back-and-forth all season for top spot on the team, Kyle Peterman and Jared Steger fittingly completed their final tournament of the season tied with each other at four-over. Steger carded his best round of the tournament with an even par 71 on the final day of competition, while Peterman shot a 73 to wrap up his season.

Also finishing tied with each other for the tournament were Jason Woll and Brian Scott. Just like Steger, Scott saved his best for last on the final day, shooting a 73 in the third round. Woll birdied his final hole of the season to bring himself even with his teammate at 10-over.

Austin Lambert had battled through a tough final round, and recovered from a double-bogey on his first nine to improve his round two score by seven strokes and wrap up regional play at 12-over for the tournament.

This was the third-straight trip to the NCAA Regionals for the Leathernecks. Scott was the only returning member from last yearʼs record-setting team. All members of this yearʼs team will be returning in the fall for Western.
