SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – For the first time this season, The Summit League Offensive Player of the Week honor is being shared after Denver's Andre Shinyashiki and Oral Roberts' Dante Brigida each registered hat tricks in wins for their respective teams.
Brigida's teammate, Miles Motakef, captured his second weekly defensive honor after helping the Golden Eagles register a 5-1 victory over Gonzaga. The freshman goalkeeper turned away six of the seven shots he faced against the Bulldogs to help ORU improve to 4-2-1 on the season.
Shinyashiki kept up his torrid goal-scoring pace through the first four weeks of the season, adding five more this week to his NCAA-leading total of 13. In a 3-1 victory over Harvard, he scored DU's first and third goals of the game and assisted on the game-winner over the Crimson. He netted his third hat trick of the season in the Pioneers' 3-0 blanking of No. 22 San Francisco.
Brigida recorded his first career hat trick in the Golden Eagles' home win over the Zags. He would net the eventual game-winner in the 58th-minute as ORU scored four second-half goals in the victory.
