(gobison.com) -- Kahla Becken tallied a career-high 21 points and Taylor Thunstedt matched her career-best with 15 points, helping the North Dakota State women's basketball team (8-10, 4-2 Summit League) to an 81-60 victory over the Fort Wayne Mastodons (7-11, 1-4 Summit League) Saturday, Jan. 17, in front of 686 spectators inside the Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse.
With the win, the Bison improve to 8-10 overall and 4-2 in Summit League play. Through six league games, the Bison sit in second-place, a half-game behind league leader South Dakota. Fort Wayne drops to 7-11 overall and 1-4 in league action.

TULSA, Okla. (oruathletics.com) -- Another hot shooting night from the field helped the Oral Roberts University women's basketball team pull out a 76-73 win Saturday afternoon over Western Illinois.
The Golden Eagles saw an early lead evaporate as the Leathernecks took a 33-27 lead into the locker room at halftime. ORU was also able to lock down on defense, holding the league's top scoring team to just three three-pointers in the game.

VERMILLION, S.D. (goyotes.com) -- Raeshel Contreras tallied a career-high 32 points as Tia Hemiller scored all nine of her points and hit a pair of key 3-pointers in the last 3:26 to lift the South Dakota women's basketball team past South Dakota State 82-78 in the DakotaDome on Saturday afternoon. The win moved the Coyotes (14-4, 4-1) into sole possession of first place in the Summit League standings.
Contreras scored 23 of USD's 48 second half points. She shot 5-of-7 from the floor, 3-of-4 from 3-point range and 10-of-12 from the free-throw line in the half. Her previous career-high was 29, which she set on Dec. 21 against North Dakota.

OMAHA, Neb. (omavs.com) -- The Omaha women's basketball team picked up a 66-49 win over IUPUI at Sapp Fieldhouse on Saturday afternoon. The Mavericks are now 6-11 overall and 1-4 in the Summit League. The loss dropped the Jaguars to 7-11 overall and 2-3 in conference play.
Remy Davenport had a team-high 13 points and six rebounds to lead three Omaha players in double figures. Davenport has scored 10 or more points in six of the past eight games.
