Myndee Kay Larsen enters her 17th year with the League and was promoted to Deputy Commissioner in March 2018 after serving as Senior Associate Commissioner since 2012. The League's Senior Woman Administrator first joined The Summit League in October 2006 as the compliance coordinator before moving into an Associate Commissioner role in 2008.

Larsen served as the League's Interim Commissioner from October, 2021 through March of 2022 following the retirement of Tom Douple.

In her role as deputy commissioner, Larsen expanded her internal operations role to include all areas within the league office. Her duties include directing the record-setting men’s and women’s basketball tournaments, oversight of all League championships and execution of all site hosting agreements for the League. She is The Summit League’s liaison to the head coach committees and officials coordinators. Larsen has direct sport supervision of men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball, and men’s and women’s tennis.

In addition to her duties at the League office, Larsen has served on three different NCAA Committees and is currently serving on her fourth as a member of the Men's Basketball Rules Committee. Her term on that committe runs through August of 2027.

In 2010, she began service on the Leadership Council and began as the Division I liaison to the Committee on Women's Athletics in 2011. Larsen served as the chair for the Women's Basketball Recruiting Subcommittee which completed its work in 2013.

From 2008-09, Larsen served on the Division I Championship Sports Management Cabinet where she was the liaison to the Women's Basketball Issues Committee.

Larsen is currently a trustee on Southern Utah University’s Board of Trustees and is serving as SUU’s National Alumni Council President.

Prior to joining the staff at The Summit League, Larsen served for five years as the Associate Athletic Director of Student Services, Compliance Coordinator/SWA at former league member Southern Utah.

In addition to directing the compliance program at SUU, Larsen also managed each sport's scholarship budget, administered the National Letter of Intent program, and oversaw student-athlete eligibility and registration. She also served as the adviser for the school's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). From October 2005-June 2006, she served as co-Interim Athletics Director at Southern Utah, during which time she managed internal operations and personnel.

From 2002-2006, Larsen represented the league on the NCAA Championships and Competition Cabinet. She also served as the chair of the conference's Women's Basketball Committee from 2003-06.

Prior to joining the administrative ranks, Larsen served as an assistant women's basketball coach at Southern Utah from 1998-2001. In that capacity, she was the recruiting coordinator, primary game scout, strength and conditioning coach, travel coordinator and camp director.

The only Southern Utah women's basketball player ever to have her jersey retired, Larsen was a four-year letterwinner for SUU. The legendary Thunderbird ended her career as the program's career leader in rebounds (913), blocked shots (251) and field goal percentage (.632), and the second-leading scorer (1,671). She still holds the NCAA record for single season field goal percentage (.724 in 1997-98), and held the record for consecutive field goals made (28 over a four-game span) for 20 years until it was surpassed in 2018, much to her chagrin. Larsen was a first team all-conference pick and was named to the championship all-tournament team in Southern Utah's first year in the Mid-Con (1997-98).

As a sophomore, Larsen was a first team All-America West selection and was the conference's Player of the Year during her junior campaign. She was also a first team Academic All-American in 1998 and a two-time Academic All-District selection.

Larsen was selected as one of The Summit League's Top-30 Distinguished Contributor's in celebration of the league's 30th Anniversary Season during the 2011-12 academic year. In 2013, she was inducted into Southern Utah’s Red Dover Athletic Hall of Fame.

A native of Twin Falls, Idaho, Larsen graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in communications in 1998. She resides in Sioux Falls, S.D.
