SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota junior Isabelle Davenport was named the Female Swimmer of the Week, while fellow Coyotes junior Jake Leichner and freshman Stella Fairbanks were named the Male Swimmer and Female Diver of the Week, respectively, in the first week of competition for USD.



Female Swimmer of the Week
Isabelle Davenport, South Dakota
Jr. | Arvada, Colo.
• Was a part of four victories at the Coyote Extravaganza
• Won the 100 Breast (1:06.29) and the 200 Breast (2:27.56)
• Also was a part of the 200 Medley and 400 Medley winning relays
• First swimmer of the week accolade

Male Swimmer of the Week
Jake Leichner, South Dakota
Jr. | Highlands Ranch, Colo.
• Was a part of six victories over the two-day Coyote Extravaganza
• Set a school record and became the first Coyote to break four minutes in the 400 IM with a time of 3:59.54
• Won the 100 Breast (56.69) and swam on winning relays in the 200 Medley, 200 Free, 400 Medley and 400 Free
• Also swam a personal best time of 20.99 in the 50 Free
• Second career swimmer of the week honor

Female Diver of the Week
Stella Fairbanks, South Dakota
Fr. | Highland, Mich.
• Made her collegiate debut by winning two of the three diving events at the Coyote Extravaganza
• Placed first in the 1-meter dive twice with scores of 215.50 and 242.25
• Also recorded a third-place score of 216.25 in the 3-meter dive
• First career diver of the week honor
