SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Denver swept the TicketSmarter Summit League Swimmer of the Week honors, while the Pioneers collected the Men's Diver of the Week honor. Additionally, South Dakota earned the Women's Diver of the Week crown, league officials announced on Tuesday.
Brandon Chapman and Jessica Maeda of Denver received the TicketSmarter Summit League Men's and Women's Swimmer of the Week accolades, while fellow Pioneer Ammar Hassan had an impressive showing and garnered the Men's Diver of the Week. Furthermore, South Dakota sophomore Stella Fairbanks picked up where she left off last season and received the Women's Diver of the Week.
Denver performed well at the Air Force hosted Rocky Mountain Invitational last weekend, finishing third on both the men's and women's side of a quad meet against the Falcons, LSU and Wyoming. The Coyotes competed in a trio of duals at the two-day Kansas Tri-Duals at the Robinson Natatorium in Lawrence, Kan.
Men's Swimmer of the Week
Brandon Chapman, Denver
Fr. | Port Elizabeth, South Africa
• Captured the 200 fly title (1:51.20) against Air Force, LSU and Wyoming and won the 100 fly (50.20) against Wyoming
• Finished runner-up in the 100 fly against the Falcons and Tigers
• This is the first career swimmer of the week award for Chapman

Women's Swimmer of the Week
Jessica Maeda, Denver

• Recorded wins in the 100 breast (1:03.71) and 200 breast (2:20.54) in duals against Air Force, LSU and Wyoming
• Also recorded a 200 IM with a time of 2:07.33, placing second against Air Force and LSU
• This is the first career swimmer of the week honor for Maeda

• Recorded a 3-meter Zone Qualifying score of 348.70
• Also scored a 329.55 Zone Qualifying score in the 1-meter dive in wins against Wyoming and Air Force
• This is the first career diver of the week accolade for Hassan
