SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Denver swept the initial TicketSmarter Summit League Swimmers of the Week honors, while South Dakota State earned the Women’s Diver of the Week, league officials announced Tuesday. Darragh Mahns and Aysia Leckie earned the Men’s and Women’s Swimmers of the Week, respectively, while SDSU’s Aleni Stoakes collected the Women’s Diver of the Week.

The Pioneers swept the men’s and women’s Denver Relays against Wyoming, and the Jackrabbits opened its season with a dual meet against Nebraska.
 

Men’s Swimmer of the Week
Darragh Mahns, Denver
Sr. | Missoula, Mont.
• Won five relay races against Wyoming at the Denver Relays
• Helped capture victories in the 200 Medley Relay (1:33.39), Mixed 200 Free Relay (1:29.15), 500 50-100-150-200 Relay (4:09.30), 100 4x25 Relay (42.88) and 400 4x100 Relay (3:09.23)
• The is the first swimmer of the week honor for Mahns
 
Women’s Swimmer of the Week
Aysia Leckie, Denver
Gr. | Georgetown, Ontario
• Helped the Pioneers capture five relay victories against Wyoming at the Denver Relays
• Recorded first-place finishes in the 200 Medley Relay (1:43.92), Mixed 200 Free Relay (1:29.15), 100 Free Relay (44.60), 100 4x25 Relay (47.86) and the 400 4x100 Relay (3:31.31)
• This is the first career swimmer of the week accolade for Leckie

Women’s Diver of the Week
Aleni Stoakes, South Dakota State
Jr. | Lincoln, Neb.
• Earned a fourth-place finish in the 3-meter dive with a score of 181.57 against Nebraska
• Also scored a 200.78 in the 1-meter dive, placing fifth overall
• This is the first career diver of the week accolade for Stoakes
