SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The 2021 Summit League Volleyball Championship bracket was revealed by league officials Sunday with Omaha earning the No. 1 seed after clinching its first regular-season title during the program’s Division I era. The Mavericks (19-9, 16-2 SL) secured the crown with a sweep of Oral Roberts this past Thursday.
 
As the top seed, Omaha earns a first-round bye and will face the winner of the No. 4 Kansas City (21-8, 12-6 SL)-No. 5 Oral Roberts (17-10, 11-7 SL)- match Friday at 4:30 p.m. CT. The Golden Eagles and the Roos open the championship in the first of two quarterfinals on Thursday, Nov. 25 at 4:30 p.m. CT.

Kansas City is making its second-straight appearance since rejoining the league, while Oral Roberts is making its first appearance in the championship since 2019 and 17^th overall while The Golden Eagles’ seven tournament titles are the most in league history.
 
Reigning tournament champion South Dakota (18-9, 15-3 SL) will be joining Omaha with a first-round bye after clinching the No. 2 seed. The Coyotes will make their ninth-consecutive appearance in the championship and take the court for the first time in Friday’s second semifinal at 7 p.m. CT.

The last time South Dakota was the No. 2 seed was back in 2018 when the Coyotes defeated No. 1 Denver to earn an automatic berth to their first NCAA Division I Tournament.
 
The Coyotes will play the winner of the match between No. 3 Denver (23-5, 14-4 SL) and No. 6 South Dakota State (10-8, 18-11 SL) that will take place Thursday at 7 p.m. CT. The Pioneers are making their ninth-consecutive appearance in the championship while the Jackrabbits are back for the first time since 2010. The Pioneers have won five of the last seven tournament titles.

The winners of Friday’s semifinal matches will play in Saturday’s championship match at 2 p.m. CT with the champion earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Semifinals and championship matches will be televised live on MidcoSN and streamed on Midco Sports Plus. Thursday’s quarterfinal matches will be available on www.SDCoyotes.com.
