SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota State swept the TicketSmarter Summit League Swimmer of the Week honors, while the Jackrabbits collected the Men’s Diver of the Week honor. Additionally, South Dakota earned the Women’s Diver of the Week accolade, league officials announced on Tuesday.
Eric Anderson and Elisabeth Timmer garnered the TicketSmarter Summit League Men’s and Women’s Swimmer of the Week accolades, while fellow Jackrabbit Zach Boyd, the reigning Summit League Men’s Diver of the Year, swept both diving events and collected the Men’s Diver of the Week. Furthermore, South Dakota sophomore Stella Fairbanks received the Women’s Diver of the Week.
SDSU performed well at the two-day Coyote Extravaganza at the Midco Aquatic Center in Sioux Falls, as the Jackrabbits ended the meet with a 2-1 record in the dual format, downing St. Thomas (160-63) and South Dakota (121-99). Additionally, South Dakota State claimed duals on the women’s side against the Tommies (120-102) and Division II Sioux Falls (129-80).
Men’s Swimmer of the Week

• Won the 100 free twice at the two-day Coyote Extravaganza in Sioux Falls, clocking a winning time of 46.46 on the opening night and 46.02 the next day
• Posted a pair of runner-up finishes in the 50 free, turning a time of 21.11 on the opening day and 21.07 the second day as well as swimming the leadoff leg on the winning 400 free relay (1:24.61)
• This is the first career swimmer of the week award for Anderson

• Remained unbeaten in the 50 free, clocking a season-best time of 23.77 to outpaced a field of 30 competitors
• Added a victory in the 100 fly (58.18) and swam on SDSU’s third-place 400 medley relay (3:55.75)
• Claimed the 200 free (1:55.57) and 100 free (52.06 and swam the leadoff leg of the Jackrabbits’ winning 400 free relay of 3:32.77
• This is the fourth career swimmer of the week honor for Timmer
