Eight of our ten teams will take the court Thursday as the fight for the regular-season crown continues. Denver travels to South Dakota to start the week’s action with the first serve going up at 6 p.m. Ct.

Around The League
- Omaha moved to 13-1 in league play after sweeping North Dakota State and North Dakota.
- McKenna Ruch paced the Mavericks turning in 17 kills on an outstanding .654 hitting percentage in the two matches. Against NDSU she notched 10 kills and hit a .769 clip and then followed up with seven kills and a .538 hitting percentage against UND.
- Ruch was a dominant force at the net and came out with four blocks and five digs against NDSU. She helped secure Omaha’s second sweep of the week leading the team with nine total blocks while adding three digs against UND.
- Denver moved to 12-2 in league play after home sweeps over both the Bison and the Fighting Hawks.
- Brianna Green led the Pioneers finishing with 15 kills and a .652 hitting percentage on the two matches. Against UND, she finished with a season-high .727 hitting percentage to go along with eight kills. She followed that up with a seven-kill, .583 clip performance against North Dakota State.
- Green helped power a Pioneer defense that held the opposition to a .088 hitting percentage and only 9.3 kills per set for the two matches. She finished with nine total blocks in the two matches.
- South Dakota holds a 12-2 league play record after defeating Western Illinois (3-0) and St. Thomas (3-1).
- Elizabeth Juhnke produced a three-set season-high 19 kills on a .326 hitting percentage to go along with eight digs in the sweep over WIU. Against UST, she notched a four-set season-high .481 clip with 17 kills, one assist, two aces, seven digs and a block.
- Defensively, Lolo Weideman had a three-set career-high 24 digs to go with seven assists, one kill and one service aces in the win over WIU. She finished with 16 digs, four assists and a service ace in the victory over UST.
- Crystal Burk led the Jackrabbits to a pair of road wins over St. Thomas (3-1) and Western Illinois (3-2). She averaged 4.11 kills per set over both matches putting down 15 at UST and another 22 at WIU. Burk notched her 12th double-double of the season against the Leathernecks digging up 18 attacks.
- Defensively, Tatum Pickar tallied 5.11 digs per set during the Jacks’ weekend road trip, more than a full dig better than her season average. She finished the weekend with 46 digs, three service aces and eight assists. Pickar’s defensive effort helped SDSU hold the week’s opponents to a .156 hitting percentage.
- Oral Roberts moved to 9-5 in league play after defeating Kansas City in four sets. The Golden Eagles were guided by Sakira LaCour’s nearly complete double-double as she finished with 12 kills and nine total blocks. She finished with a .346 hitting percentage against the Roos.
- Pacing the offensive effort was Bryanne Soares as she finished with a 38-assist, 11-dig, double-double performance to go along with six kills.
- On the defensive end, Sarah Thiessen paced ORU with 17 digs and five assists.
- Kansas City, North Dakota, North Dakota State, St. Thomas and Western Illinois went without a tally in the win column this week.
- Kansas City took a set from Oral Roberts while St. Thomas was able to take a set from both South Dakota and South Dakota State.
- Western Illinois was on the cusp of notching its fourth league win of the season before dropping the fifth set to South Dakota State 15-10.
