SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota and South Dakota State split the latest #SummitSD weekly awards, league officials announced on Tuesday. Jake Leichner and Stella Fairbanks earned the men’s swimmer and women’s diver of the week, respectively. Additionally, Elisabeth Timmer and Zach Boyd were named the women’s swimmer and men’s diver of the week, respectively.
Women’s Swimmer of the Week
Elisabeth Timmer, South Dakota State
Fr. | Savaneta, Aruba
• Helped record three victories in a dual against South Dakota
• Took first in the 200 Free with a time of 1:55.45 and first in the 100 Free with a time of 51.95
• Swam the lead leg of SDSU’s winning 400 Free Relay with a split of 53.22, a relay best
• Earned her third career swimmer of the week award
Men’s Swimmer of the Week
Jake Leichner, South Dakota
Jr. | Highlands Ranch, Colo.
• Recorded three victories during a dual win over South Dakota State
• Posted a season-best time of 1:44.49 in the winning 200 Free
• Placed first in the 200 Breast (2:10.32) and swam the second leg (58.81) on the winning 400 Medley Relay unit
• Captured third career swimmer of the week honor

Women’s Diver of the Week
Stella Fairbanks, South Dakota
Fr. | Highland, Mich.
• Took over the Summit League lead with a first-place season-best 282.53 in the 3-meter during a dual with SDSU
• Finished second in the 1-meter event with a score of 240.00
• This is the fourth Summit League weekly accolade for Fairbanks

Zach Boyd, South Dakota State

• Picked up 18 points for the Jackrabbits in a dual against South Dakota
• Placed first in both the 1-meter (296.93) and 3-meter dive (305.78)
• This is the fourth Summit League weekly honor for Boyd
